To create a Plater account, follow these simple steps:
1. Click the SIGNUP button in the top right-hand corner.
2. Enter your details.
3. Confirm your account via the email sent to you within 1-2 minutes. If you don't receive it, refresh your browser and try again.

Listing a plate is easy:
1. Once you have logged in, click the LIST PLATE button in the top right-hand corner.
2. Choose between Standard, Premium, or Want To Buy listing options.
3. Enter the accurate item details, and place your listing. You can list only one item at a time.
The Want To Buy section is for those seeking to buy specific plates.
To use it:
1. Click on the Want To Buy link in the menu.
2. Click the FILTER button and select the appropriate items.

2. Click on Dashboard in the top right-hand corner.
3. Select LIstings to view analytics, listing details, and Plater messages in the Dashboard.

4. Click Mark As Sold.

5. If a part of your listing is not able to be edited, please contact us and we will edit it for you.
We recommend basing your price on recent sales or similar plates online. If unsure, contact us at support@plater.com.au for assistance, or use the form on the Home page.
Plater does not offer refunds for listings sold on the site. All sales operate on a One Time Payment system. For concerns, contact us at support@plater.com.au or using the form on the Contact page.

If you are the winning bid, you'll be charged a buyer's premium of 5% + GST, with a minimum of $500 AUD. The remaining sell price is to be paid to the seller.
After the buyer's premium has been paid, you will be introduced to the seller. Electronic funds transfer is the preferred method of payment for the seller.
The listing will indicate whether it has a reserve price and whether that reserve has been met or not.

Once a bid has been placed, it cannot be withdrawn.
Currently, there is no additional time added for last-minute bids.
There is no listing fee.
You can list your number plate by filling out our auction enquiry form located on the bottom of the first page. You will be contacted by one of our team members within 12-48 hours.
Yes, once an auction inquiry has been accepted and a reserve price is set, you, as the seller, are required to sign an authority form.
We accept desired number plates with realistic reserve prices.
Yes, you can cancel the auction after it has gone live, but there is a cancellation fee. The fee is 2% of the agreed reserve price plus GST, with a minimum of $400 AUD Plus GST. This information is outlined in our terms and conditions.
After the auction concludes and the final price exceeds the set reserve price, the buyer will pay the buyer's premium. Following this, the seller and buyer will be digitally introduced.
Yes, you can lower the reserve price at any time during the auction.
We will negotiate with the highest bidder on your behalf. Additionally, you have the option to relist the plate at any time.
